The opalescent glass body of the vase is decorated with wheel-carved orange and brown water lilies, some brightly colored and in deep relief, others in such shallow relief and gossamer coloration as to almost avoid detection. Each of the flowers, caught in their varied states of maturity, is cast against a blue martelé ground.
